Our Staff
Mary Kay Leslie
Mary Kay is our preschool director and lead teacher. She and her husband Nathan are graduates of Mohawk and they, along with their two sons, live in the Bessemer community. Mary Kay received her bachelor’s degree in elementary and early childhood education from Slippery Rock University. She is a Pennsylvania state licensed teacher. She is overjoyed to be teaching preschoolers and loves to watch them grow and learn. She has been amazed by the community’s enthusiasm and response to the preschool from its start in 2018. This preschool is a dream come true for her.
Lindsey Henry
Lindsey has been an integral part in Bessemer preschool from the beginning. She worked alongside Mrs. Leslie as a co-teacher for the first two years, as the preschool has expanded, she has stepped into the role of lead teacher in her own classroom. Lindsey graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary Education. She and her family are residence of the Mohawk community and when she is not teaching, she can be found at her family’s meat market or tending to the family cows.
Brittani Martin
Miss Martin is a Mohawk graduate and Bessemer resident. When she isn’t at preschool she is busy with her own three children, Ava, Mason and Brody. She is a scrapbook and crafting queen, and loves to use her cricut machine to complete projects. Miss Martin has been a great addition to our preschool since January of 2022.
